Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Screwloose, a 40' steel cruiser on a residential mooring, a rare and affordable opportunity for a comfortable live aboard.
Screwloose was lifted out of the water in November 2015, where she had a full survey before having new anodes fitted and being painted, and was again taken out in 2022 for the hull to be repainted.
Accommodation is light, the wheelhouse/saloon area benefits from panoramic views. She has had a multi fuel burner fitted in the saloon, which has been nicely tiled around to create a homely feel, this heats the entire boat.
Steps lead down to the main cabin which has a built in double bed and plenty of storage. Forward from the saloon, steps lead down to the galley area, with gas oven and hob, fridge and plenty of work space and storage, with all cupboards having had new doors fitted.
There is a toilet cubicle to one side, and the other side of the corridor is a shower cubicle, a good size and height . There is a gas boiler for hot water in the boat, but this is noit currently working and needs replacing.
Forward from the galley is a double V berth, currently used for storage but can be used as additional sleeping area.
Externally there is good deck space at the front and back of the boat. At the back there are two storage lockers for the gas bottles.
Equipment includes VHF radio, Garmin GPS, Garmin echo sounder and steering compass. The boat has not been cruised recently, however the engine once serviced is capable of providing excellent power to cruise both tidal and non tidal waterways.
Screwloose is a lovely example of a cruising home, and the small amount of work needed to repaint the decks and replace the gas water heater is reflected in the asking price.

Most residential moorings are secure areas with mains electric and water provided, mooring fees for a secure residential mooring tend to be between £1 and £2 per foot of length per week.
