The Colvic Atlanta design was well received while in production and proved to be a popular alternative to the expensive Fisher 30. Offering considerably more internal volume with a more practical living space it’s easy to understand why. In the mid 1950's, based on his research into ancient Polynesian boat design, James Wharram built the first off-shore Catamaran in Britain and sailed it out into the Atlantic. While the world's yachting community were still dismissing such a design as a worthy sea-going vessel, James was landing his 23' 6" double hulled canoe called 'Tangaroa' in th...

The best features of the Macgregor 26C (classic) is its sailability. For a trailerable sailboat, it is fast and predictable. It goes where you point it and it goes very well. It can sail circles around many cruising boats of similar size and have yet to find a trailerable sailboat that can keep up with her. The Macgregor is good in ...

I have owned this boat since 1995 and she has been summer sailed for about 20 seasons of my ownership, off the North Kent coast. She is scruffy and could do with a refurb. She sits on a sturdy trailer (brakes not working). Depth, log, vhf (needs new antenna). No engine - best with a 6-8hp which fits in outboard well. Mainsail about 15 years old plus original hanked on self tacking jib. Viewing in my garden approx 7 miles from Faversham, Kent. There is plenty of info out there on this remarkable design. Happy to provide comprehensive detail on boat to serious enquirers....
